Dr. James Watson

Dr. James Watson is a veterinarian who leads the Emergency Disease Investigation group at the CSIRO Australian Animal Health Lab (AAHL).  James has extensive experience in diagnostic veterinary pathology, infectious diseases and zoonotic diseases.  James also has a strong background in laboratory informatics and data management, including the development of the STARS network that links Australian animal health laboratories.  James has worked with the OIE and FAO on Laboratory Information Management Systems, Biobanking and Genomic information management.
