Dr. Suradhat is a professor at the Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She is responsible for teaching and coordinating immunology and vaccinology courses for the D.V.M. curriculum and graduate studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Science and The Interdisciplinary Program in Medical Microbiology, Graduate School, CU. Currently, she also served as an associate dean for policy and planning at the Faculty of Veterinary Science.

Dr. Suradhat is a veterinary immunologist. She has published several research articles related to immunobiology of classical swine fever virus (CSFV) and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV). Her research group consisted of the faculty members with expertise in the areas of veterinary immunology, virology, pathology and bioinformatics. Dr. Suradhat has a strong background in veterinary vaccine development and cellular immunology. During the past years, she has established several immunological assays for monitoring of porcine innate and adaptive (cellular) immune responses. Her research activities include the role of cell-mediated immune responses in anti-viral (CSFV and PRRSV) immunity and swine vaccine efficacy studies, characterization of porcine regulatory T lymphocytes (Tregs), and PRRSV-induced immunomodulatory proteins, including interleukin (IL)-10, Tregs, and IL-1Ra, and development of a novel PRRSV-DNA vaccine and potential anti-PRRSV strategies.

In addition, Dr. Suradhat has helped coordinating and supervising the research activities related to animal influenza viruses and emerging infectious diseases in animals at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, CU. She has a major role in establishment of the Center of Excellence in Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases in Animals, Chulalongkorn University (CU-EIDAs). In the recent years, CU-EIDAs has actively involved in a number of research activities funded by several national and international granting agencies. The center research strengths include research activities related to veterinary emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases that are important to the country, such as influenza viruses, nipah virus, PRRSV, and PCV-2, etc.
